Northeast Pressure Vessel Testing (NEPVT) can shot blast the external walls of your cylinder.

Shot blasting a steel cylinder efficiently cleans the exterior surface without damaging the wall or valve. This protects the cylinder life by removing only the old paint, rust, scale and corrosion from the exterior metal surface.

Steel shot is used in the blasting process. The cylinder is scraped, removing any labels, preparing it for the blaster. It is positioned horizontally on a bed of rollers which tumble the cylinder into the blasting equipment. This allows all sides of the cylinder to be blasted clean.

Cylinders can be repainted following customer specific instructions. Paint is applied by hand using a roller creating good coverage and a quality paint job. Special stenciling can be designed and applied according to your specifications.
